Berwick Academy

Received a 2024 grant to provide Thompson Scholar scholarships to Berwick Academy for local youth.

Since 2000, The Roger Thompson Endowment Fund has provided funding to support financial aid for students entering Berwick’s Middle School. The students receiving the award are known as the Thompson Scholars, chosen by the Admissions and Financial Aid Committee based on their ability and motivation to contribute to and benefit from the Berwick community. Thompson Scholars must be eager to explore the world around them and be committed to the hard work such exploration entails. The award follows the students through graduation as long as they remain in good academic standing and qualify for financial aid. To date, there have been ten Thompson Scholars, with two more added last year.
